okay, i have had this xbox 360 for a while now and JUST got live, i got a one month trial card, but when i went to sign on usinkg my profile with my gamerscore it said it was already in use....

i used my full name so i don't see how it could be in use by anyone else...i mean my name is kinda different not like JOHN SMITH or anything

also, is there a way to transfer my points to this new account i set up or am i pretty much S.O.L.

does the gamerscore even matter really? what is it good for?

anyway, if anyone wants to check me out i'll be on under nigelbarrios

so send me a message, if you got saints row or gears or COD2 i'll play any of them, seeing as i need to get my gamerscore points back, i'll probably spend the rest of this month trying to get it back up to par, i had almost 3000!@!#$(*@&#

Hi deps,

Have you tried calling M$ Support??? Im sure it would be a cheap phonecall to find out and save you some time..

I myself havent had this issue in the past and i know of a friend actually who has two accounts on his xbox.. One is for xbox live and the other is his local gamertag only.. Im not sure how it works otherwise i would input more.

Seriously though, i would call M$ Support and ask their advice.. Its only a phonecall and you will know for sure.

Feel free to update your post at anytime as it will help others with the same issue.

enjoy the site,

hobbs

yes you can have more than one gamertag on your 360 as your friend does...

but the customer support guy said i am pretty much out of luck because they cannot merge accounts, change accounts or anything like that

luckily i only bought one month of the LIVE as a trial. Next month i will have to call them back up and setup the new account with the NEW card......

good thing i didn't buy a year...

thanks for letting us know how you went..
Even if your 1 month trial runs out your xbox live gamercard is saved now... when mine ran out i still had my gamerscore and achievements but couldnt play online and do some other things..

The best way is to purchase the 12 months.. Then you can forget about it and get on with your gaming.

Sorry to hear you lost those points too..

enjoy the site,

****UPDATE******

yeah so its a month later and i decided to try using my offline profile.

well it was a lot easier than i thought....

i went back to my offline profile and changed my profile name to nigelsan and it worked just fine...so now i am able to keep my gamerscore and use my saved games.
