Xbox360 Media Player Codec Compatibility:
- DIVX (NO)
- XVID (NO)
- WMA (YES)
- WMV (YES)
- MPG1 (YES)
- MPG2 (YES)
- MPG3 (YES)
- MPG4 (NO)

Hey i seriously havent tested anything yet but thats my guess to start.. We will update as soon as you all reply..

Well let me just start by saying DIVX.. I think not.. lol
You will find that most codecs will not be supported that you may already have in your xbox media center homebrew edition..

So thats another reason why my xbox 1 will be kicking around for quite sometime i believe.. Smile

Im just starting this topic to see who has test what codecs and who can confirmed that they work or not.. Go for it guys.. Reply away..

We will update this post at the top of the topic everytime someone replies with relevant info.

I have only been able to get:

.wma
.jpg

to work. I cant get any of the videos to work,,,,,any suggestions

There is a petition to get the Divx codec added to the 360, sign it and pass on the info aobut the petition to anyone you know.

Same here I dont even see the menu to select a Windows media connect PC like the Music and pictures

Edit: Just found out only Media Center PC's can stream videos. Great I installed MCE about a month ago by slecting update from Windows XP home and all I got is XP Pro by the looks (media center button on remote does nothing)
