A new "Saints Row 2 Exclusive Story Trailer" has been released dubbed "Own the Streets". The latest trailer includes some story-line elements and gameplay. Check it out below using the HQ Media Player.
"Saints Row 2" has a much darker and more sinister story that leads your character down a path of betrayal, revenge and redemption against the city that has left him for dead, although we’ve blended that with the same light-hearted humor from the original.

VG247 reports that at an investors meeting at the William Blair & Company in Chicago THQ CEO Brian Farrell had a few words on this game and they all seem vary promising in the way of game play and action, he even went to to describe the game as: “silly, over the top game play.”
On the subject of GTA and its effect on Saint Row Farrell said: “We’re always concerned about GTA as a competitor. It’s a great product, the leader in the genre. But we were actually very pleased when we saw GTA IV. It’s a great game, but they went in this great creative direction [that makes the game] more character- and story-driven,” so it seems Saints Row 2 is less about the story and more about outrages game play which is not a bad thing at all to me.
Saints Row 2 will have lots of features like character customization, down loadable content, larger, richer environment, a unique combat system and a seamless two-player co-op mode.
Saint’s Row 2 is going to be off the chain and that’s not an empty boast. Right now all any sandbox loving gamer can think about is GTA IV and for good reason, but after you’ve claimed Liberty City in the name of Niko Bellic, you might want to take a trip back to the Stillwater and once again tread The Row. In a newly revamped and larger (45%, to be exact) city with 130 playable interiors, you’ll be able to take your revenge on those who wronged you in helicopters, speedboats, jet-skis (a first for any open-world game) and even planes, which can literally plow through buildings!
Plus, there will also be a story mode that’s completely co-op (in yet another first). Furthermore, players will have the option of playing as a character of either gender or as character who has a non-specific gender. Groundbreaking!
Two things are certain; first, in a game where you can crash through buildings in a plane, some uptight politician is going to call it a training simulator for terrorist and second, this game is going to rock!
THQ today announced Saints Row 2, sequel to the multi-million unit selling title that redefined open-world gaming for next-generation consoles, is scheduled to deliver all new, genre-defining features and game play for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system and PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system in 2008.
Developed by THQ’s critically acclaimed internal studio Volition, Inc. using their proprietary open-world engine, Saints Row 2 will offer vastly expanded customization options, a totally transformed and expanded city of Stilwater, all new vehicles, sandbox tools and toys as well as both online co-op and competitive multiplayer. More information on the game can be found on the official Saints Row 2 web site at www.saintsrow2.com.
“Saints Row set the bar for next-gen open-world development, earning praise for its unmatched customization, controls, and the genre’s first-ever online multiplayer,”
said Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of sales and marketing, THQ.
“The team at Volition, Inc. is leveraging invaluable experience gained on Saints Row to build Saints Row 2 into a game that sets the standard for combat, player freedom, customization, vehicle game-play, team-based co-op and the most compelling online open world experience to date.”
“Saints Row 2 has a much darker and more sinister story that leads your character down a path of betrayal, revenge and redemption against the city that has left him for dead, although we’ve blended that with the same light-hearted humor from the original.”
said Greg Donovan, lead producer, Volition, Inc.
“Couple that with the most robust open-world feature set ever developed in the genre, and Saints Row 2 promises a gaming experience that will offer players the perfect balance of gripping narrative and compelling gameplay options.”

Xbox 360 has 7.8 times as many 8/10 games exclusive to their console. Also, NBA Street Homecourt and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 are the only ports that rank higher on the PS3 and are above scores of 8/10.
Does this, for now, prove that Xbox 360 has better games than PS3 at this point? Also, will the PS3 be able to catch up and then keep up in the coming years? There's a long way to go, but for now, the claims that PS3 doesn't have many good games... is true.
Ratings taken from MetaCritic.com. To be in the top scores for each console, each game had to have at least 5 ratings from seperate sites.
