Southend Interactive and Deep Silver's Sacred Citadel, the downloadable beat-em-up action video game set in the evil Ashen empire, is now available to download via the Xbox LIVE Arcade for 1,200 Microsoft Points ($14.99).
Sacred Citadel reinvents the familiar arcade feel of classic brawlers while setting a new standard for the future of side scrolling hack and slash games.
There are several playable character classes, such as the Safiri Warrior, the Ancarian Ranger and the Khukuri Shaman , each with a different skill set that can be further individualized through RPG features and collectible items. Each character will also have the ability to dual-wield two exchangeable weapons, use combo attacks and perform double jumps. All of which combines into a fluid and unique arcade game experience with sophisticated graphics and spectacular effects. The player will also be able to ride mounts, use war machines and spend his hard earned cash in towns all over the world of Sacred Citadel.
The once peaceful land of Ancaria is in grave danger. The evil Ashen empire has enslaved its population and is using the orc-like Grimmoc to wipe out the Seraphim, who swore to protect it. In order to defeat the empire you will have to prove yourself as a warrior by riding terrifying mounts, acquiring earth shattering skills and looting powerful weapons and valuable treasures. The ball-busting next chapter in the Saints Row franchise, is starting a party in your pants this August. Developed by Volition, Saints Row IV will launch on current-gen consoles and PC on August 20, 2013, in North America and August 23, 2013, in the rest of the world.
Saints Row IV will be making its worldwide debut in Boston next week with exclusive behind-closed-doors presentations led by producers from Volition. As an added bonus to the Saints Row community, any PAX East attendees that cosplay as a Saints Row character will be allowed to skip to the front of the line for the presentation. Attendees are expected to leave the Saints Row theater wide-eyed and joyous, their clothes transmuted into black suits with purple accents.
