"Grand Theft Auto V" will be available in stores on September 17, and will be available on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
PlayStation owners in Europe who were lucky enough to download the digital pre-load of Grand Theft Auto V via the PlayStation Store were able to access certain GTAV assets leading to leaked information and media from the game appearing online; Sony has now apologized.

"These assets were posted online," social media manager Sid Shuman said in a statement.
"We have since removed the digital pre-order file from the PlayStation Store in Europe. We sincerely apologize to Rockstar and GTA fans across the world who were exposed to the spoiler content," he added. "GTA V is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year with a very passionate following, and we’re looking forward to a historic launch on September 17."

Rockstar Games has released the first online multiplayer trailer for Grand Theft Auto V.
In "Grand Theft Auto Online", you'll have the freedom to explore alone or with friends, work cooperatively to complete missions, band together to participate in activities and ambient events, or compete in traditional game modes with the entire community, all with the personality and refined mechanics of Grand Theft Auto V. Players can invest in their character through customizing their appearance, improving their stats, owning customized vehicles, purchasing personal property, and taking part in missions, jobs and activities to earn reputation and cash to open up new opportunities to rise through the criminal ranks. The world of Grand Theft Auto Online will constantly grow and change as new content is added, creating the first ever persistent and dynamic Grand Theft Auto game world.
Online multiplayer mode will not be available at launch. Instead, it will be available two weeks later. Grand Theft Auto V will be released on September 17th on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, while Grand Theft Auto Online will be launching on October 1st. Nvidia confirmed that GTA5 will indeed be coming out for the PC. They mentioned something also about I think Rockstar hiring people to do porting. They mentioned that PC gaming brings in 2x the revenue of Xbox and Play Station consoles combined. No word on next gen consoles, but we guess that announcement won't be too far away.
