List of Cancelled Cross-platform Games
These cross-platform cancellations are probably the result of growing competition in the GTA-clone genre. GTA IV, The Godfather, and Saint's Row have a large amount of buzz and are probably scaring off less ambitious projects.
This GTA style action game begins with Al Pacino's character surviving the gunfight at the end of the movie, allowing the player to rebuild his cocaine empire. Development is nearing completion on the PS2, Xbox, and PC. The 360/PS3 versions have been cancelled although a PSP version has been added.
Based off of the popular mob drama on HBO, this action game was planned for release on PS2, PS3, and Xbox 360. THQ has cancelled the PS3 version due to lack of dev kits and cancelled the 360 version because it "didn't look all that much better than the PS2 version."
This 360 exclusive features Hitman style assassinations in a futuristic city. Unfortunately because of numerous delays and an unimpressive media response Namco has decided to cancel the project.

Namco has announced that development of its Xbox 360 title Frame City Killer has been cancelled due to undisclosed development issues.
Originally billed as the Japanese publisher's debut title for Microsoft's Xbox 360 console, Frame City Killer was initially scheduled for a release during the Christmas season of 2005 but the release was moved forward to this summer to allow additional development time.
EA confirmed the cancellation to our sister site, Eurogamer, last week. A note on the Japanese homepage for Namco, which has been translated by Gamasutra.com reads:
"Our Xbox 360 title Frame City, planned for a Spring 2006 release, has been cancelled due to various circ umstances. We apologise to everyone who was looking forward to it. Our company will continue to develop high quality titles for the Xbox 360 next generation machine, including a new RPG, which will be announced in the near future."
The reasons for the cancellation of the game have not been disclosed, but Namco is set on continuing its support for the machine, backing up positive sales of Ridge Racer 6 with several new games and a host of arcade classics heading to the Xbox Live Arcade service in the coming months.
With the Tokyo Game Show only one week away, game publishers are beginning to announce their lineups for this year's event, which is expected to be as big (or bigger) than the TGS that took place right before the PlayStation 2's debut. The focus of TGS2005 is the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, and it's been anticipated that some of their games will actually be playable at the show. The latest issue of Famitsu has unveiled a preliminary lineup of next-generation games for the show, and it confirms that a number of them will be playable.
The current list of next-generation console games at TGS 2005 is below..
