We live in a time where video games, especially those available on game consoles, are more complex than ever. Instead of titles where you blindly stick to the directions you're given, many games today allow you to explore massive worlds, complete side missions, and/or play so-called mini-games. This way, you can experience new things and increase entertainment.
With the help of the mini-games we mentioned, which are also available to players using Xbox 360, you can engage in various activities, including gambling. So, if you have a gambling itch, this option can be beneficial.
Of course, you can always choose online gambling for real money on the best casino sites, however, in the meantime, playing Xbox 360 games with gambling activities can help you raise your game to a higher level before you delve into popular casino options, such as blackjack, baccarat, poker, slots, and more. After all, casino-style Xbox games curate a low-stakes, no-risk environment to hone your gambling skills – understanding probabilities, betting strategies, and bankroll management.
In this guide we have prepared for you, we will look at some great games that fall into this category. Let's roll!
Saints Row 2
Even though it was released in 2008, this action-adventure game by THQ and Volition is still popular among Xbox 360 players. Saints Row 2, as you probably guessed, is the second installment in the iconic Saints Row series. A lot of action is promised to players. Still, one of the most interesting things about this game is the opportunity to get involved in various gambling activities.
So, when you play Saints Row 2, you can visit the Crash Landing nightclub in Huntersfield, the Poseidon's Palace in Stilwater Boardwalk, or the Student Union HQ in Stilwater University and play poker and blackjack.
Dovetail Games revealed that CATAN: Console Edition will be released on Tuesday, February 28th, on Xbox Series, Xbox One, PlayStaton 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles. Pre-orders are available now, with early access beginning on February 23rd for those who pre-order.
When CATAN – Console Edition, developed by Nomad Games and published by Dovetail Games, was announced last year, gameplay and strategy were key elements in making Console Edition authentic, with a dynamic single-player AI and the ability to track resources on your smartphone both highlighted as core features.
A host of other features are included, relating to single-play, couch multiplayer and online multi-player. The dynamic AI comes in the form of individual AI characters that very much look the part within CATAN’s distinctive visual style. They’ll have their own gameplay strategies, some are more willing to trade, some less and some play more proactively than the others - just as some do playing the physical board game!
Couch multiplayer forms part of the release, with only one console required to play with up to four friends around the TV and the ability to track resources on a smartphone even without the need to install an app. Offering enjoyment with friends and family has been a key part of developing the game for console. Cross-play has also been confirmed for online multiplayer, bringing together fans of CATAN from both PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
For those who have been keeping up with the Xbox Live Chart Activity, we have some more updates for you guys. As usual we have the top ten games played over the original Xbox Live, the new Xbox Live, and the most downloaded games from the Xbox Live arcade.
No surprises here for the top three games being played over Xbox Live. We still have the trinity of
Gears of War
Crackdown
Halo 3 Beta on top.
Aegis Wing has been bumped off the list as the Hour of Victory Demo joins the top ten. The most downloaded games over Xbox Live Arcade has Pac-Man C.E., Madtracks, and Worms taking the first, second, and third slots, knocking down Double Dragon, XEVIOUS, and Rush n' Attack.
Not much has really changed with regards to the top ten games in both the original and new Xbox Live with the games just moving around a bit. XBLA is bit more varied considering how many games are added into the list regularly.

Xbox 360 has 7.8 times as many 8/10 games exclusive to their console. Also, NBA Street Homecourt and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 are the only ports that rank higher on the PS3 and are above scores of 8/10.
Does this, for now, prove that Xbox 360 has better games than PS3 at this point? Also, will the PS3 be able to catch up and then keep up in the coming years? There's a long way to go, but for now, the claims that PS3 doesn't have many good games... is true.
Ratings taken from MetaCritic.com. To be in the top scores for each console, each game had to have at least 5 ratings from seperate sites.
“Catan” from Big Huge Games is the Xbox LIVE Arcade edition of the legendary multiplayer board game Settlers of Catan. Klaus Teuber, creator of the original Settlers of Catan board game, had this to say about the collaboration with Big Huge Games: "I had no doubts that Brian Reynolds would do a great job, and the first version of the game exceeded my highest expectations. The AI is so clever that I even lost several games in a row! Hands down, this game for the Xbox LIVE Arcade is an amazing achievement."

“Centipede” and “Millipede”
Two of Atari’s best loved coin-op classics, “Centipede” and “Millipede,” will be available for download on Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 beginning Wednesday, May 2 at 0900 GMT (2:00 a.m. Pacific).
The classic version of “Centipede” challenges gamers to defend their villages against an onslaught of centipedes, spiders, army ants and more. Xbox LIVE Arcade gamers will also have access to an “Evolved” version which features pre-rendered, high definition graphics, special effects like motion blur, trails and particle-based explosions that make this classic as enjoyable today as it was in the arcade decades ago.
In “Millipede,” the primary challenge is to obliterate chains of arthropods that creep down from the top of the screen. Scattered mushrooms are the gamers’ main tool to shoot, destroy and redirect the menacing millipedes. “Millipede” also offers up Xbox LIVE Arcade gamers an “Evolved” version of this coin-op classic.
“Centipede” and “Millipede” will be available worldwide as a joint download for 400 Microsoft Points and are rated E for Everyone.

It will run 800 MSP ($10 USD) and feature same system co-op play. I'm glad to see some titles other than the normal retro hits coming to the arcade, hopefully soon we'll see Worms HD and also Catan.
