Treyarch and Activision announced today that a double XP event for Call of Duty: Black Ops II is starting today Friday, December 14 at 10am PST and running through the weekend until Monday, December 17 at 10am PST. Earn twice the XP for all of your Multiplayer gameplay.
In addition to earning double XP, this weekend's Elite Competitions will also award double clan XP! Three Competitions are available for you and your fellow clan members, including challenges in Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Team Deathmatch. The highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops II "Nuketown Zombies" map, which was previously only available to those who purchased the BLOPS2 Collector's Edition, is now exclusively available for Season Pass Holders on Xbox 360.

Activision announced today that for the fourth consecutive year, the Call of Duty franchise has delivered the biggest entertainment launch of the year. The highly-anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops II has achieved an estimated sell-through of more than $500 million worldwide in the first 24 hours of its release, according to Chart-Track, retail customer sell-through information and internal company estimates.

Reports from the Call of Duty forums, Steam, and Reddit (among other sites) are claiming the second installation disc for Activision’s shooter is actually for Mass Effect 2.
Along with not making a whole lot of sense, the issue is preventing players from installing the game via retail discs – though each copy comes with a Steam key that allows the game to be downloaded in its entirety via digital means.
Activision has yet to provide any official comment on the mistake, but with a product from a completely different publisher involved it seems likely the situation would stem from a manufacturer error.
