EA's: Army Of Two As A Movie Published by: wes213 on Monday, October 27, 2008
If your an Army Of Two fan you may have seen the posts and articles floating around out there about the Army Of Two movie that is supposta be in the works and if you have not been in the loop on this story lets see if we cant get you up yo speed with this Edge-Online story.

Edge-Online reports: It's no coincidence that EA Montreal's Army of Two is prime material for an action movie.
The firm told Edge on Friday that's how it was planned all along.
Asked if the studio kept in mind a screen adaptation when developing the game, Pat O'Brien, VP of EA Entertainment replied, "Yes. As we develop new IPs we have been learning to think about the IP as more than a game, as a potential cross-media franchise.
"That infuses the creative team's thinking about story, characters and the world. This thinking was definitely part of the process while we developed [Army of Two]."
It's a relatively new way to approach game development for EA, which recently signed an agreement with United Talent Agency.
EA released Army of Two in March this year. The game generated over $100 million in revenues, according to the publisher.
Today, EA announced that the game would be turned into a film, produced by Scott Stuber and EA. Scott Z. Burns, co-writer of The Bourne Ultimatum, will adapt the game for the screen.
The publisher also has a deal with 20th Century Fox for a movie based on the blockbuster Sims franchise.
O'Brien added, "EA Montreal has always been very excited about the possibility of adapting [Army of Two] into a film. The team felt that given the franchises’ captivating and politically-charged storyline it would work beautifully on the big screen.
"The whole team at EA Montreal could not be more excited to work with Universal to see this dream come to fruition."

Blackwater to Drop 360s as a Recruitment Tool Published by: IrishGunner on Monday, July 28, 2008
I actually work with these guy while I was in Bahgdad, Here's the story:
You're probably familiar with Blackwater Worldwide, the mercenary group that works in warzones and doesn't allow itself to be held back by silly things like ethics or respect for human life. Well, they're looking to hire some new mercenaries, and they know that they want people with wartime experience. That means troops. How do you get on current troops' good side? How about dropping free Xbox 360s with Guitar Hero out of planes for them in Afghanistan?
I just hope they don't have the RROD...lol
Blackwater recruiter James Overton is working on packing a Microsoft Xbox video-game console, modem, TV projector and "Guitar Hero" video game into a kit that can be kicked out of a Blackwater cargo plane and dropped to troops in Afghanistan.
Why not Army of Two, Blackwater?
Honestly, I don't even know how to feel about this. On the one hand, it's great that the troops will have fun games to play on their down time. On the other hand, Blackwater is one of the most reprehensible companies on the planet. What a world.

Thanks to a little sponsorship by Pontiac Army of Two will be getting a free map pack on May 29 (you heard me FREE) and if you download it show your support and buy a Pontiac.

OK so don't go buying a Pontiac but you will definitely want this map pack containing an all-new map set in a subway station in Kiev where you must find and destroy the central hub of a dangerous militia.
The second map takes place in SSC headquarters in Miami where they finally get the chance to take out Dalton, Rios and Salem’s ex-boss and the man responsible for framing them.
"The Veteran Map Pack features dynamic and interactive environments including destructible objects that were not available in the retail version. The action also continues online with two-on-two teams battling it out in the China Canal Lock map."

E3 2007: Xbox 360 Game List Published by: forahobby on Sunday, June 03, 2007 Tagged: Gaming, Xbox 360,
One of the exciting things about E3, if not the most exciting thing, is the games. Getting to try out a long list of games from various companies before anyone gets to play them is the one of the pleasures of geekdom that can't quite be matched.
IGN regularly hosts a constantly updated list of all the games that will be present at E3 and even thought this year is "scaled down" and "invite only" it hasn't put a hurt on the amount of games that will be playable. The list is far from complete, but there's enough there to get your blood pumping in anticipation. I've posted some of the bigger company's lists after the jump, but to see all the titles currently confirmed, check out IGN's ever growing list. Flynn De Marco

  | Xbox 360 Captures Army Of Two | |
Xbox 360 Captures Army Of Two Published by: forahobby on Sunday, May 14, 2006 Tagged: Gaming, Xbox 360,
UbisoftEA's boutique Montreal production house today announced their new title, Army Of One, to be released in 2007 for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Wii will have wait, it appears.
EA's Reid Schneider had a mouthful to say about the upcoming title:
"This is the game we've always wanted to create. Until now, the hardware would not allow us to deliver truly intelligent AI characters. We've built this game with co-operative TWO man gameplay as the centerpiece of the experience. Whether you're playing with PAI or a friend, it's about the TWO man missions, TWO man strategies and the TWO man advantage that really sets this game apart."
I don't know why, but I get the feeling that there's an emphasis on TWO player participation in this one. Even if one of the two is an AI character, that is. Maybe they can resuscitate Haley Joel Osment from the A.I. movie; he seems like he'd be a fun guy to game with, as long as one doesn't get on his bad side.
