Our good friend and once ex editor-in-chief of TeamXbox.com Rob Semsey, has now announced he has left the respective website from now on will be working with Microsoft!

Rob will be in charge of public relations for some of Microsoft's first party games titles and we'd like to wish him the best of luck in his new role. From four years at TXB to a PR for Microsoft - he must be damn good :).

After 4+ wonderful years at TeamXbox.com, the time has come to move on. I’d like to announce that this Friday, June 30th, will be my last day as Editor in Chief here at TXB. It’s been an amazing ride since first joining the staff in 2001 and I’m very proud at what the staff has been able to accomplish in a relatively short period of time.

What has impressed me the most about our readership is the true sense of community, long before it was considered a common practice like we see today with Xbox Live, MySpace.com, etc. We have a considerable amount of folks that have been with us from the beginning – from the days when TeamXbox.com and MSXbox.com were separate entities. We’ve steadily built upon that foundation of community to become one of the largest Xbox-specific sites around. The TeamXbox.com Forums continue to grow and now have over 120,000 members. To each of our readers, I say thank you for the continued support of the site throughout the years. TeamXbox.com would be nothing without our dedicated readers.

From being involved in every nuance of TeamXbox.com since 2001, I can honestly say that you won’t find a better group of more talented, dedicated people than those of the TXB staff. Countless hours are spent to ensure that our readers are given the best Xbox/Xbox 360 coverage possible – at no cost. Thanks go out to all of the TXB family – the moderators, the editorial staff (Cesar, Dale, Nate, Matt, and Andy), our programming extraordinaire, Tony, and the founder of TXB – Brent (Shockwave). Thanks also to everyone that has contributed to the site along the way. It’s been a pleasure and an honor to work alongside each of you.

Early on we didn’t have the backing of the high-profile online networks, but we continued to make waves. The acquisition by IGN Entertainment provided TXB the much needed resources and backing to take the site to another level. The move to IGN might not have been popular amongst a few readers, but I can assure you that it has allowed TeamXbox.com to prosper.

Going forward I know that each of you will continue to support TeamXbox.com as you always have. We have always explored new ways to improve the site and there are a ton of things currently in the works that you’ll assuredly love. I can’t wait to see how things turn out.

Don’t worry, I won’t be too far removed from all things Xbox. I’ve recently accepted a position with Microsoft and will be handling public relations for a number of first-party titles. Which ones? Well, let’s just say they must be good to pull me away from TeamXbox.com, right?

Again, thank you so much for all the support of TeamXbox.com. It’s been the best years of my life and now it’s time for a new adventure.

Signing off (one last time),
