how to recover an EEPROM from a dead hard drive: Altoids

How many Xbox's do i have laying around with a dead hard drive? Four, and might I add I have none of the EEPROMS to any of them, so im stuck with four massive paper weights.

But not so anymore thanks to one l337 h4xX0rz.
Now with a bunch of wires, some 4.7K resistors and an empty Spearmint Altoids tin we can retrieve those EEPROM's to put those Xbox's back into working order.
MacGyver would be proud.
