Battlefield 4's Community Beta Testing client has launched and is now available for Xbox One Preview Program members.

Battlefield 4 Community Test Environment (CTE) Xbox One

The Battlefield 4 CTE, or Community Test Environment, allows gamers to test upcoming releases, tweaks, and changes coming to the full retail version of the game before they are live. This has been instrumental in helping us change and improve on Battlefield 4 in an unprecedented way –
all from the input of our community of gamers. That’s right! You, the gaming community, can help test new features, maps, and more while providing feedback to improve the game.

This first release on Xbox One includes the Community Map that’s currently being developed (see the Community Map Project) and three night maps from the “Night Operations Project”. Keep in mind that anything you see in the CTE might not be released into the retail game.

The type of updates on the CTE on Xbox One will be bigger and less frequent than on PC. However, you can still expect regular updates, tests, and prototypes. As you play the latest build on the CTE, you’ll be able to provide your feedback on the CTE Battlelog forums.

In order to participate, you’ll need to own Battlefield 4 on Xbox One, be a Battlefield 4 Premium member for the Xbox One, and be a member of the Xbox One Preview program (learn how to get invited by a friend who is in the XBPP here).
