Bethesda announces Dawnguard Xbox 360 BetaDate: Sunday, June 03 @ 00:58:50 UTC Bethesda Softworks has announced that they are now accepting Xbox 360 beta applications for Dawnguard, the first expansion to the award-winning role-playing game Skyrim. Successful beta applicants will be the first to try out Skyrim's Dawnguard DLC.  Interested gamers can apply for the beta period at the official Dawnguard website. Applicants must have a registered account on the game's official forums, and Bethesda said users will want to make sure their forum email addresses are up to date. The developer said it will begin selecting applicants in "about a week." Those who are chosen will receive an Xbox Live code to redeem the full Dawnguard expansion prior to its launch this summer free of charge. No mention was made concerning whether or not a similar beta period will be held for the PlayStation 3 and PC, and a Bethesda representative told GameSpot, "Dawnguard is only announced for [Xbox 360] so that's the only platform we are talking about now."
