Goldeneye 007: Reloaded announced for Xbox 360 and PS3, screenshots

Activision confirms high-definition remake of Goldeneye 007 coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this year.


Even though we unveiled the Xbox 360 version of GoldenEye 007 over 2 years ago right here on 360-HQ, with a bunch of comparison screenshots and a video demonstration of the game running on a Xbox 360 Development Kit (XDK), fans worldwide still had to patiently wait until today to hear the official confirmation from Activision that the game would be coming this fall.

The new version will include improved gameplay modes, increased multiplayer options, 60 frames per second ‘HD’ visuals, and is also rumored to include new multiplayer levels.

“We are beyond ecstatic to debut GoldenEye 007: Reloaded to the millions of fans who have been clamoring for it to arrive on Sony and Microsoft home consoles,” said EVP at Activision Publishing, David Oxford.

  • Flawless recreation of the original gameplay. The game used the original code, running on an Xbox 360.

  • Solid 60 frames a second.

  • High definition graphics with the option to switch back to the original N64 graphics any time.

  • Four-way online split-screen multiplayer, with the option to see what the other three players can see, even over Live.

  • New multiplayer maps, including the single player Dam, Depot or Frigate levels as multiplayer arenas.
