The very next time you turn on your Xbox 360 console and connect to Xbox LIVE you will be prompted to download and install the latest dashboard update which will enable a new dashboard option.

Update:
Rumors are also circulating that the mandatory xbox live update contains AP 2.5 security updates.

After you have accepted the update, you will have access to a new option where you can set your Xbox 360 to "Boot to Disc" OR to the Xbox 360 dashboard. This option can be found in the System Settings blade.

Team Xbox.com have also updated the look of Xbox LIVE gamercards removing the gamerzone portion from the card. Other than the removal of the gamerzone portion of the card it should still hold the same amount of information.
