Fall 2010 Update Breaks Load to Disc/MCE Options - To be Fixed in Future Update

The Fall 2010 Update has a few bugs when it comes to Media Center and Media Center Extenders. Once you have performed the latest mandatory Xbox LIVE update you will notice that your xbox 360 dashboard will appear even if you have changed your startup settings in MCE.

When you turn on your Xbox 360 console, the Xbox Dashboard appears even when you have changed your startup settings to load a Disc or Media Center extender.

This issue occurs after downloading the latest System Update from Xbox LIVE and will be resolved in a future System Update. To work around this issue, use the Xbox Dashboard to launch the current Disc or Media Center extender.

To launch the current disc

1. Go to My Xbox

2. Select the first panel to Play Disc

To Launch Media Center extender

1. Go to My Xbox

2. Select Windows Media Center
