The EyeToy for PlayStation 2 eventually led to the development of the Sony Playstation Eye for the PS3. The end results are that Kinect can do everything that Sony's Playstation Eye can.  The specs above were leaked from Microsoft and due to production cost the hardware will be downgraded so 32-bit color's will not be supported. Kinect will still support speech recognition, video chat, full body mapping capabilities and multiplayer modes, although it won't be able to support more than two players at once. |
