December 29, 2005 - What do you get when you cross a flashy new sports car with a high-powered, next-generation gaming system? Well, if you happen to be the Nissan automobile company and, by chance, you're friends with the people at Microsoft's XBOX department, you get the Nissan Urge: a one-of-a-kind concept coupe with a built-in, fully-integrated XBOX 360.

Nissan, in conjunction with Microsoft, showed the car off for the first time (in advance of its public debut at the 2006 NAIAS/Detroit convention) this month at a swanky press event in New York City's posh new venue, Newspace. The highlight of the evening was the demonstration of the Urge's key feature: the ability to play Project Gotham Racing 3 on the XBOX 360 using the car's actual steering wheel along with the gas and brake pedals, which was designed to give the player the experience of truly being in the driver's seat while playing the game which provides a totally new level of immersive gameplay.
