With the fall update and its ability to load the 360 games to the HDD approaching fast it will be no real surprise when gamers start asking for more HDD space and the sales for the arcade system should start dropping like a rock, so to start things off MS will be putting out a 60GB HDD console in the UK soon.

GamesIndustry.biz reported this bit of info on the new 60GB line of 360's:
Microsoft has released more information on the previously-announced 60GB edition of the Xbox 360 console, which will retail at the same price point as the phased-out 20GB edition - GBP 199.99.

The new console SKU will be available in the UK from August 15 and will complement the entry-point GBP 159.99 Arcade SKU - which doesn't have a hard drive but instead ships with a 256MB memory card - and the GBP 259.99 Elite SKU, which features a 120GB hard drive.

"No one device offers the depth and breadth of entertainment that Xbox 360 can deliver and we know consumers need increasingly more and more space to store the amazing digital entertainment content we provide," said Neil Thompson, senior regional director for Microsoft's Entertainment and Devices Division. "Now the Xbox 360 has triple the space to house all your entertainment needs at no extra cost."
