Rockstar Asks What Movie Deal?

In the last few days we have seen a flood of false reports about a GTA movie that was almost made. According to Rockstar, however, it never came nearly as close to being green-lit as Fritz suggested.

Dan Houser, vice president of creativity at Rockstar, told MTV News that no movie deal was ever close to going through; "not as far as we are concerned," he said. "Some movie producers were trying to put something together to entice us to make a movie, as studios and production teams frequently have done in the past. This proposal was no more interesting than the numerous others we receive. We never entertained proceeding with the project." Houser also emphasized that a GTA movie is "not something we are currently interested in."
