It would seem since the Lost Planet update yesterday a great number of people are experiencing disconnection issues.

Basically when your join a server your will get booted with the message 'the match host has cancelled the mission, returning to lobby'! Well it appears Capcom are working hard to fix these issues and have come up with a few things for you to try.

Capcom GM Zeus from Capcom has these wise words:

The first thing to check is your Xbox 360 net connections and make sure that NAT is set to open.

The second thing to try is the maintenance commands, follow these instructions:

- Go to 360 Dashboard
- Select System
- Select Memory
- Highlight the Hard Drive (or Memory Unit) (do not press A)
- Press the Y button to access Device Options
- Press: X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X

After you do this shut down your console, start it backup and then the game and re-download the patch. This fixed a lot of people issues.
At present Capcom R&D suspect that a lot of the issues are people that have not yet shutdown their consoles and are running the old patch which will conflict with the version you are trying to run. As a result of this they are monitoring the situation to see if things improve over the next few days.

So if you are experiencing problems even after trying the above please do pop along to the Capcom forums and post your issues at the below link and post the following details:
Your location:
Your level:
Version of game (Collector's Edition / Normal):
Router:
Connection Type (DSL/Cable/Dial Up):
ISP:
Xbox Connection (wireless/ethernet cable):
Signal strength (this is the ! symbol next to the GamerTags - Dark grey = Bad / White = Good):
More details will be posted on these issues as they come to light.
