If you've been paying attention to controversies in the media, you probably notice that people are still looking about video games. Some parents do not feel as though their children are negatively affected, and others believe that video games can cause huge problems for young ones. Video games can create a positive impact on learning, but you need to consider a few points.
The Age Level
When a video game is not appropriate for the age level of your child, the learning effect might be the opposite. For example, let's take a very violent game that is intended for the teenager population. If younger children play it, they might be exposed to ideas and concepts that they are not fully ready to learn. This early exposure can cause a lot of confusion, and they may grow to not completely understand the subject matter at all.
The Content
Of course, the content of the game is going to have a huge impact on whether it has any educational value. It also depends upon what type of knowledge you are hoping to impart. A game where youngsters have to navigate a car through streets could help them with their motor skills, and a painting game could help to develop their artistic side. Clearly, a huge part of this depends upon what you are hoping for them to learn.

Although it had experience some delays, the most recent technical test of Halo Infinite has largely received a very positive feedback as it was able to be tested across multiple platforms with some great results to boot and being one of the original premiere esports titles on consoles way back before esports had taken off in the way it has, it certainly brings back plenty of excitement too. At one time it could easily be considered the biggest title for Xbox online with a thriving environment with more information to bet with Pinnacle for the upcoming game too it could certainly take off again – but will the game find its new home or PC, or can the consoles capture the game once again leading to a revival of console esports?
A big benefit that has come through for consoles recently has been with the introduction of more frames in modern gaming options which in turn will allow for faster displays too – throughout the past, consoles have typically been restricted to a much lower frame rate with 30 being common, and whilst being played on a bigger display with couch gaming options it isn’t that noticeable, it is something that is much less desirable from a competitive standpoint. The recent technical test has shown that the new Series X is able to run the game up to 120 frames per second for certain resolutions, and for those that are looking to play with a faster display this will give a much smoother experience and something that will certainly help push the competitive side of console gaming forward too.
One of the downsides to console esports still remains in broadcasting options, however, and although it is becoming easier for consoles to broadcast and share in this way it isn’t yet close to what is available for PC systems as they’ve become the home for esports – if this is something that’s able to be worked on and improved upon too in order to deliver a better viewing experience too. Given there were a large number of console streamers showing the potentials for the game however this may be a concern that can be laid to rest as something that has improved over time.
If anything, the game could operate similar to one of the biggest games in the world right now of Apex Legends with cross play accessibility where controller players on console and mouse and keyboard players on PC, whilst there may be a performance gap between the two it is something that has seemingly worked very well, and given the history of Halo on Xbox, it could be the one title that can reinvigorate console esports and lead to growing cross play options.
