Hot on the heels of the confirmation of downloadable movies and TV shows on Marketplace comes this picture from a recent Microsoft press event. If you look closely, you'll notice that the hard drive has an entire 70 gigs free. In other words, that larger hard drive rumor has surfaced yet again. Given all the recent announcements, it's fairly safe to assume a larger hard drive is coming. It's just a matter of when. We're betting that you won't see these larger hard drives before Christmas. Microsoft might announce them -- especially in the wake of the Video Marketplace -- but we doubt they'll release them. Why not? Because Microsoft wants to sell as many 360 HD DVD players as possible, and a larger HDD plus Video Marketplace is in direct competition with that.
Please Note:
It's more likely that MS will release a larger HD some day, however the above picture is probably just another Xbox360 devkit HD like with all the previous 'larger HD' rumors.
The game that is taking the PC and PS4 world by storm at the moment, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a fun, easy to play battle royale game in which you compete against 60 others in an cartoon like Olympics. It’s quickly proving to be one of the biggest hits of the summer with it selling over two million copies on PC alone in the last week – although Fall Guys is currently available on PC and PS4, the developers has expressed an interest in bringing the game to all platforms but not released any dates as of yet.
When initially released in Q3 2019, the developers Mediatonic stated that to start with it will only be available on PS4 and Steam. However, that being said with how successful it’s proving to be this summer, they will be looking to capitalise on this by releasing on the other platforms.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockdown may be that fun, silly, time passing game, but that doesn’t take away from the competitive edge it brings out in you when you are playing with friends. The party vibes give you the opportunity to be able to mess around, race to the ultimate and take the micky out of the other contestants once you’ve qualified for the next round. The first round is ultimately a free for fall, anyone could get through type round, but once you are in the 5th and final round, you are leant forward in your chair and wanting to win more than anything.
Other success that we’ve been seeing over the summer has been in the gambling industry, especially as Sites Not Blocked By Gamstop. We mainly think this is down to punters not being able to get their usual fix at live sporting events due to Coronavirus and lockdown restrictions and have then moved to online entertainment and the surge has been immense. These sites attached offer the best sing up offers not restricted by the Gamstop scheme as well as huge deposit matches on all of their casinos.
No matter how bad you are at Fall Guys, there is somebody out there that's worse than you!
Unless, of course, you are @timthetatman - statistically, the worst-performing Fall Guy player in the world
An inside source at Microsoft informed us that Microsoft is currently finishing off one huge update for the Xbox 360 that is going to put an end to all the known problems in both games and the system itself. It will contain fixes for all currently known lockups in games, missing or impossible to get achievements and a bunch of new functionality in the Dashboard.
Xbox is based on a Pentium III processor, while Xbox 360 is based on a custom triple-core PowerPC processor co-developed with IBM. This is but one of many differences between the platforms, but one people are familiar with. Digging deeper, you would find that nearly everything has changed. Graphics, audio, networking, etc. have all been replaced with different subsystems.
Xbox games all run on the assumption they are being run on the exact set of original hardware. Changing anything usually means breaking some kind of behavior games depend upon. Therefore, Xbox 360's backwards compatibility had to emulate the exact configuration of an original Xbox.
One way to do this is embed the parts of an original Xbox into an Xbox 360. This was the path Sony chose to use in PlayStation 2's compatibility. However, Microsoft doesn't own the intellectual property in Xbox: it's owned by various other companies including Intel. Microsoft wouldn't have the freedom to take the parts needed for compatibility, shrink them down, and put them inside Xbox 360. And no one would want a bigger power supply any way :)
Another option is software emulation. Many of you already know this is the path Microsoft has chosen. Our software emulator works much like emulators for other platforms like SNES and Genesis. However, one key difference to keep in mind is that the Xbox emulator is emulating the immediate previous generation of games. Most emulators come out many years after a console has launched and run on PCs that represent quantum leaps in performance.
Portable media player to utilise Xbox 360 currency
Microsoft's portable media player, Zune, will accept Microsoft Points as currency in exchange for music downloads.
Already a system in use for transactions via Xbox Live Marketplace on the 360, users will be able to purchase songs at a price of 79 points per track, or around US $0.99 (EUR 0.77).
Although speculation regarding interconnectivity between the Xbox 360 and Zune has been rife, this is the first time that Microsoft has revealed a system unique to the hardware.
As with a majority of MP3 players, the Zune is able to connect with the Xbox 360 to play music and other media, or via a Media Centre PC streaming content to the console.
Zune will go on sale in North America on November 14th, priced US $249.99 (EUR 197).
Just confirming to our members and especially all those users who aren't lucky enough to have full time internet that the xbox 360 update has gone through according to plan.. I myself havent had a chance to play much but already got a error code when i tried to access a menu option.. lol..
No doubt they will have teething bugs.. Im keen to try the background downloading options personally.. My 360 is just fine and dandy apart from that minor error whilst trying to retrieve info from the net.
Anyway, if you want to discuss anything 360 come into our friendly forums right here.
