Although the reports are limited to what seems like one thread on the Xbox 360 forums, several Xbox 360 owners are saying that their consoles are starting to stop displaying video.
Several users say the screen goes blank during gameplay, and white lines appear at the bottom of the screen, although the audio continues to come through. At least one user reports seeing the red aspect of the color signal failing to come through, with the image then failing completely. It sounds like most users with the problem are encountering this after a fair degree of time with the console, after no previous problems. For now, we'll just have to add this problem to the list of other technical issues with Xbox 360: hopefully it won't go any further than the current anecdotal evidence.
puffdank from our very own www.360-hq.com forums has also been having similar issues.. If you would like to get involved in the 360-hq topic please check it out by visiting the link below: https://www.360-hq.com/postt2089.html.
Manhunt 2 will be the first game to ever be given the rating of (AO) Adults Only. "So what" you may say, after all most of us are old enough to buy a game without our mommy going to the store with us, or maybe you don't really give it a second thought because after all Manhunt 2 is not ment for the 360, it is developed for the PSP, PS2 and Nintendo Wii. So whats the big deal?
The new face of Console makers and game retailers.
Well the big deal is that the Anti-Video game groups have managed to intimidate the game industry. Giving a game the AO rating is like giving it the Plague as far as retailers along with Sony and Nintendo are concerned. Out of fear of criticism from these groups and activists such as Jack Thompson, both Sony and Nintendo have now changed plans and refuse to allow the game ( which was due out next month ) on thier consoles. And game retailers are following suit. Though the retailers refuse to shelf AO rated games they seem to have no problem what so ever with NC-17 and Unrated movies. you can play a porn dvd on your 360 but dont you dare put in a game that is deemed too violent or may show a nipple. If you want a grown up game you may have to stick to grown up hardware like a PC.
If the industry cowers down then this means games have hit a limit as to content, and any game given the AO rating is dead in the water, you can go to the video store right now and rent SAW but an adult game with half the violence will be slapped with an AO rating basically keeping it from ever being released to the public. Even though the average gamer age is 34 years old, the game industry will limit our game exposure to the 17 year old equivalent. It seems games have gotten as adult as they ever will, unless the retailers and console companies can grow a spine and quick. Lets hope that at least Xbox will take a stand and a chance of letting its gamers decide what is appropriate to play in their own homes on its expensive console.
As with Roe vs Wade, once a precedence is set it is very hard if not impossible to go back on. Not only would it give a boost to the Anti-videogame groups but it would bolster the myth that games are basically simulators training us to kill, rape, kidnap, steal etc..
They also said the same thing about Elvis and his evil Rock N Roll.
Developer Infinity Ward has released a new gameplay video for their upcoming Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare set to release on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
Just when We thought that we were bored with military shooters, this video comes along and gets us stoked about killing evil-doers again. There's some sweet footage of what the night-vision goggles will look like in game so be sure to check the vid out! Remember, the game is very early in development, so it will only get better. The video was taken off of the Xbox 360 version.
The Tiltboard is a third-party add-on device for the 360 that allows Xbox gamers to enjoy all the tilting-controller action PlayStation 3 and Wii owners take for granted...but the question is: Will players even want one?
According to the device's designer, the Tiltboard features a "high quality design which is guaranteed to be even more user friendly than the PS3’s SIXAXIS controller."

Blu-ray is proving to be the popular kid on the block with over 1.5 million players in households v.s, HD-DVD players at 300,000, even so, it seems MS has decided to be hard headed and has stated that it will NEVER allow the format on its 360. Not now not ever. MS states it will push forward with HD-DVD. Though MS provides an external HD-DVD player dont expect to ever watch any of your Blu-ray movies on the 360...ever!

Blu-ray is Sony technology and MS wants nothing to do with it. Rather than adapting and growing to give its consumers the best experience and options possible MS seems to not be letting up on its feud with Sony. Lets hope MS' gaming industry does not end up with the dinosaurs, they did not adapt either.
