In a press release this morning Microsoft has said since the easter price cut with a savings value of Ł40 the consoles sales have more than doubled.
Microsoft Europe entertainment devices boss, Chris Lewis said: “Xbox 360 is truly the next-generation console of choice among consumers, and today’s numbers are proof that we are delivering on our commitment to achieve critical mass in Europe coupled with entertainment content that’s appealing to everyone in the home, makes Xbox 360 the ultimate high-definition entertainment choice, and it’s clear that we’re already seeing this resonate with consumers.”
It would seem that the huge fear of the Red Ring Of Death has finally blown over and even the European market has looked past that for the savings of the Easter deal.
With a real lack of numbers in this we can only take Microsoft's word for it but it sound like a little new hope for the 360 console and I'm sure with huge games like Grand Theft Auto IV on its way sales will pickup.
