Snowcastle Games (@snowcastlegames) has revealed their updated vision for EARTHLOCK 2, the RPG in development, with a new cinematic trailer that shows how the game lets you turn desolate deserts into lush oasis and drive customisable vehicles called Desert Ships.

EARTHLOCK 2 Reveals New Details On Desert Ships & Dynamic Biomes

In EARTHLOCK 2, you, alongside a band of voyagers, stand at the precipice of danger and glory. A vast desert of mystery and possibility awaits for you to explore and transform into an Oasis full of life. You will explore this world with your trusty Desert Ship. The ship starts out as a humble mode of transportation, but with time and effort, it will become your mobile base of operations, and instill fear into your enemies in the desert. Rise to become the most formidable Explorer of Umbra!

The series is set on the planet of Umbra, which has stopped spinning on its axis, meaning half of the world is completely shrouded in darkness, while the other half is constantly baked in sunlight. Along the border in the middle, there is an area that gets the best of both worlds. The story centers around a group of friends who must set out to find and rescue their missing family members. EARTHLOCK 2 will be an open-world action RPG with complex interlocking systems that work together to offer players extensive freedom to customize their own experience.

Reverse-city builder, Flooded Out Now on Xbox and PlayStation

Reverse-city builder, Flooded Out Now on Xbox and PlayStation
Published by: BigJ on Monday, March 04, 2024
Tagged: Gaming, Live Marketplace, Xbox Live, Xbox One,

Forever Entertainment (@ForeverEntert) has revealed that reverse-city builder, Flooded, is out now on Xbox One, Xbox Series and PlayStation 4|5, priced at $12.99 / €12.99.

Reverse-city builder, Flooded launches on Xbox and PlayStation on February 23rd

Flooded is a reversed city-builder in which you need to optimize your production on an island that shrinks over time. Gather enough resources to flee to safety while the surrounding world gets flooded.

THE WORLD IS BEING FLOODED

Water levels have suddenly risen worldwide, and all the solid ground remaining on the surface of our planet is shrinking extremely quickly. Together with a group of miners, you find yourself surprised by the rising water, and your only goal, for now, is to find safe ground.

BUILD, GATHER, UPGRADE

As the land keeps shrinking, you’ll have to act quickly. Raise new buildings, gather resources, upgrade already built structures, and figure out how to escape from the island.

FIGHT OFF THE DANGER

You’ll quickly find out that you’re not the only survivor of the flood. Unfortunately, not everyone is as friendly as you. Build defensive structures, plant water mines, and raise turrets to keep your people safe, not only from the water but also from the pirates.

Flooded Features

  • Reverse city-builder with rogue-lite elements and procedurally generated islands.

  • Campaign, Quickplay, and Endless game modes.

  • Continuously shrinking land due to rising water levels.

  • Resource gathering, building upgrades, and the development of new technologies.

  • A variety of defensive structures to fend off hostile neighbors and pirates.

  • Exploration of nearby islands with diverse biomes.

GAME MODES

  • Campaign: The campaign mode allows you to immerse yourself in the game''s plot. Follow the story of a group of miners whose peaceful lives were turned upside down in the blink of an eye by an enigmatic cataclysm. Explore uninhabited islands, meet new allies, fight mysterious invaders from the north, and discover the secret behind the great flood.

  • Quickplay: Adjust the gameplay settings and face your own customized challenge on a randomly generated island.

  • Endless: Develop a robust economy and produce resources before your base gets flooded. Once every four development eras, the island expands to give you a shot at surviving until the next cycle.

Flooded is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The game is also available on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam).

Realm of Ink's Developer Walkthrough Reveals Stunning Gameplay and More

Realm of Ink's Developer Walkthrough Reveals Stunning Gameplay and More
Published by: BigJ on Friday, March 01, 2024

Realm of Ink (@realmofink), the new action roguelite game from Indie publisher 663 Games, has released the first developer walkthrough, following the success of the playable demo on Steam. The game is currently scheduled to launch across consoles and PC later this year.

Realm of Ink''s Developer Walkthrough Reveals Stunning Gameplay and More

Realm of Ink is an Ink-style action roguelite game beautifully brought to life with a distinctive mix of 2.5D Chinese-style ink painting and modern art direction, along with a rich combat system using multiple playable characters. Its deep and intriguing story discusses the philosophical significance of life as well as the beliefs of nihilism and existentialism.

In this 13-minute walkthrough, developers Leap Studio and Maple Leaf Studio take you on a journey through part of the demo experience unveiling the Scarlet Sword, one of the weapon schools available to players in the game, using the Twin Domain strategy.

The Scarlet Sword unleashes light and heavy attacks and arms the player with a fast and versatile weapon on their journey through the perilous world. The light attack is a triple strike to the front dealing low damage, and the heavy attack is a round slash around the character dealing a huge amount of damage to enemies. The heavy attack can be charged up to deal extra damage, and the charge-up speed is increased if you perform a light attack first.

The path taken in the video revolves around the two selected Ink Gems - Venom Ink (lays down a magical circle and deals DOT, applying the "Poison" debuff to enemies), and Quake Ink (lays down a magical circle and deals DOT, applying shields to the character). Therefore the perks are selected to enhance the effects of the magical circles, increasing the Poison damage and the shield amounts.

Realm of Ink will be released in 2024 for consoles and PC. Specific consoles were NOT announced. Fans can download the PC demo and wishlist the game on Steam now.

A child of both darkness and light, full of mysteries and full of scientific curiosity, just starting to build a myth of their own.
