"After being the first major retailer to release info on the PS3 Slim before Sony itself had announced the system, Amazon Germany is at it again, outing a 250GB Xbox 360 model for 280 euros ($379). An eagle-eyed Engadget tipster spotted the listing, which includes two wireless controllers and a copy of Forza Motorsport 3 in addition to the massively embiggened hard drive.
Since Forza 3 won't be hitting shelves until October 23 in Europe, it stands to reason that this listing represents a deal still a few months off, though Microsoft could very feasibly release this new SKU (sans accessories) earlier."
So it looks like the rumours of a 250GB do have some substance after all
With both Facebook and Twitter being free to the world, it was rumoured that Microsoft would make these features available only to Gold members. But in a recent press release Microsoft has confirmed the rumours.

I personally wouldn't pay for Gold membership for these features alone. But coupled with multi player action, maybe this is enough to get a few extra people to fork out for Gold.
With the rumor of the big price drop floating around for so long i was starting to think it was just a bad joke made up by wishful thinkers but today was the day for the price drop to take place, also the 360 pro has been dropped from the line up as the Xbox oracles had foretold.
Microsoft’s confirmed that 360’s Elite model will be cut to £199.99 in the UK and €249.99 on the mainland from tomorrow, August 28.
“With the Christmas season right around the corner, it’s already time to start looking for entertainment and gifts that everyone will enjoy,” said Euro Xbox head Chris Lewis.
“We have a goal over the next 18 months to reinvent entertainment in the living room and we want to ensure that we have the right foundations in place for our consumers to make simple informed choices around their entertainment platform.
“We know that price is a critical influencing factor in consumer choice, but we also know that consumers across Europe are looking for value, benefit and entertainment experiences, so we need to address all these points to continue to grow and be successful in Europe.”
As we reported last night, the Arcade SKU has been pulled up to £159.99 from £129.99.

Here with some good news for players like me is the report from GamerZines that there will be no vehicles in the online play, this is by far some of the best news i have seen on COD MW2 since the news hit about the expanded Kill streak Reward.
GamerZines reported: Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has confirmed that vehicles will not feature in Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer component.
Speaking in a recent interview with GamerZines, Bowling stated:
"We never put vehicles in multiplayer.

Such as the AC130 gunship where you can fire any of the three weapons on it during its limited time in the air."
Treyarch implemented drivable tanks into last year's Call of Duty: World at War, something many players disagreed with, citing that it caused problems with the game's balancing.
The AC130 Gunship was revealed in the first multiplayer video for Modern Warfare 2 released a few weeks back, which also revealed the customisable killstreak feature that Infinity Ward is introducing to the series. As of right now, you are able to download 2-3 hours of new game play for Mass Effect for the rock bottom price of 400 MS points.
Taking place on a top-secret Alliance space station , it features a number of arena-style battle exercises.

And as I recommend with any DLC, do some research on the net for some reviews before purchasing. And last but not least, if you happen to be a PC player of this game, the DLC is $5 and includes a crap load of Patches for problems the game has been having on the PC version.
