There have been numerous comparisons going around comparing Sony's GT5 or GT5: Prologue to Microsoft's Forza 3. Each title looks great in many regards, but the gamers want to know which title is superior. With a brilliantly made comparison video, gamers may finally have an answer to that question.
Things to consider:
- This is the DEMO for Forza Motorsport 3
- This is Grand Turismo 5: Prologue and not GT5.
- Both games were captures at 720p
FourZeroTwo (FZT) asked the community to pose questions via the popular blogging site, Twitter. You've probably seen FZT in Modern Warfare 2's trailers - he's the guy that always gets killed at the end. The MW2 community asked hundreds of questions, and FZT answered in force. Here's a compiled list of features that he has stated will (or will not) be in Modern Warfare 2.
What is the level cap in MW2?
Max level in MW2 is level 70 this time. "We have a lot more weapons, perks, attachments, callsign items, and equipment to unlock this time, needed more levels!"
Will IW do anything to deal with the use of controller mods?
IW stated they are addressing modded controllers in MW2 - slightly different than the Rate of Fire cap we did in COD4 recently, but gave no specifics.
Will our Australian buddies have better luck getting into games faster and with better regional selections?
There isn't an option to search specific regions / countries when matchmaking, but there is improved matchmaking to auto-assist. (what ever that means)
Someone must of asked about the new riot shields in multiplayer and what if everyone was using them.
"An entire team of Riot Shields would be slow moving and extremely vulnerable. Flash grenades force you to expose some...(the sentence was incomplete, perhaps he was saying a flash will cause someone with a shield to expose some of their body while stuned)
On weather..
"Quite a few maps have varying degrees of visibility due to weather effects." Also there WILL be SNOW MAPS in MW2 multiplayer, Notice he said MAPS, so maybe a few good ones. (402 also mentioned in another interview a weapon attachment called a thermal sight!, this will allow you to better see your enemy through weather or other visibility obstructions such as smoke and dust.)
On taking down an enemy AC-130.
"It takes two rockets to take down an AC-130 in MP. Meaning you can't do it alone but can do it as a team", (this would indicate you only get one shot with an AT4, and possibly that gunfire will have no effect on the AC-130)
Airdrops can give resupply or drop you a knew kill streak. Can you choose between the two before you drop?
"Nope. Air Drops are random. They could be an ammo resupply or an awesome killstreak reward. Its luck of the draw." (now we know the enemy can get to your resupply crate and use it for them selfs if you drop it too close to them, I am curious if it is a kill streak in the crate, and they get to it first if they get to use your kill streak reward?)
Will we get a Demo?
Basically the answer is NO!
What game type is Special Ops mode?
"Special Ops includes a variety of gametypes and mission objectives. One of many being a Wave Defense type." it has also been mentioned that many of the games and maps in Special Ops mode must be unlocked by compleating other Special Ops games. This may be quite a challenge to unlock all the maps if any or all of them are as challenging as Mile High Club!
On the question on getting anything other than a new badge for prestige.
"There are going to be a few rewards for hitting prestige in #MW2 - can't go into details, but there will be goodness to be had"
Electronic Arts, the retail distributor for Left 4 Dead 2 weighed in against The Australian classification board's refusal of Left 4 Dead 2, and it's not as mild as the "pretty bummed" Valve offered last week
EA spokeswoman Tiffany Steckler, speaking to GameSpot Australia, implied "Left 4 Dead 2's" violent content is not beyond the pale of Australia's home grown entertainment fare.
"It's funny that a place like Australia, which has come up with some pretty violent material in the past with something like Mad Max, can effectively ban video games for the same reason," she said. "EA believes that adults should have the right to make their own choices when it comes to the content they consume."
She declined to comment when asked if any changes were coming to the game, following the board's refusal to classify it at MA 15+, its highest rating. The games industry has for some time now pleaded for Australia to adopt a higher classification rating to permit more mature content to be sold Down Under. Last year's original Left 4 Dead was given an MA 15+

With XBLA games getting to be a bigger and bigger selling point of the 360 Microsoft has seen fit to raise the bar once again with an unheard of 2GB size limit which means bigger and better games but bigger price as well I'm sure.
When Xbox Live Arcade originally debuted, Microsoft told game developers that their games couldn't exceed 50 MB in size. Microsoft wanted the games to be easy and quick to download, and that the games be fast, simple, pick-up-and-play experiences.
But Microsoft this week confirmed that, after numerous previous size increases, the size limit has been raised once again, now to a full 2GB, or 40 times that original size. "We are always working closely with our partners to deliver innovative and high-quality Xbox Live Arcade games to our community," a Microsoft rep said in a statement.
"In order to continue fostering the creation of great titles on the platform, Microsoft has increased the file size limit of XBLA titles to 2 GB. We pride ourselves in being the premier destination for downloadable games, and the new file size limit allows developers to push their creative boundaries."
The confirmation follows a Tokyo Game Show report from consumer site IGN, that said the 2GB size limit is final, reportedly a technical limitation of XBLA's file structure. Larger games are downloadable on Xbox Live's Games On Demand service, where users can download full-sized retail games like Mass Effect and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
The re-release of Konami's Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was the first game to break the 50MB mark in 2007. Larger games continued to push that limit upward, resulting in frequent reports of rising size limits for the service. The loosening of the size restrictions reflects Microsoft's growing acceptance of digital distribution.
Recent XBLA release Shadow Complex weighs in at 835 MB, less than half of the limit, and another top-selling download, Trials HD, is just 207 MB.
