Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Onslaught Mode was set to become available today on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360, but it has now been revealed via EA blogs that it has been delayed. The new Onslaught mode DLC would have cost you for 800 MSP and will become available sometime in the near future.
UPDATE:
Xbox 360 owners will be able to pick up Onslaught mode in the very near future and we are also still investigating the possibility of Onslaught coming to PC.
The new game mode puts you and up to three friends against the enemy on Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes and Nelson Bay – redesigned with new lighting, time of day, added vehicles and other effects. Each map has a dedicated gameplay focus, requiring different levels of teamwork in order to complete the objectives against an onslaught of enemy AI. Vehicle warfare comes to the forefront in Atacama Desert while Nelson Bay focuses squarely on infantry assault. Players can compete in squads and check individual progress via the dedicated Onslaught leaderboards.
Senior Producer Patrick Bach had these few words to say about Onslaught mode “We want to consistently support the fans playing the game with new ways to get into multiplayer and also challenge the elite players with new experiences to improve their performance online. Effective squad play is the key to success in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer and this new mode will provide players with a dedicated environment to test their team skills and rank against the competition.”

Harmonix and MTV have finally released something hardcore for Rock Band. Pantera, The Great Southern Trendkill, is now available to download from the Rock Band store for only 1260 MSP. Although it's been available for a few weeks we thought we had better remind our readers here on HQ.
Heavy rock legends Pantera have made their Rock Band debut in a big way, by bringing fan-favorite album, The Great Southern Trendkill, to the Rock Band Music Library. Pantera formed in Texas in 1981 and has been named to VH1’s “100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock” and MTV’s “Top 10 Greatest Heavy Metal Bands of All Time,” and has sold more than 8 million albums in the United States. The Great Southern Trendkill was released in 1996, as the band’s eighth studio album, reached No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 and was declared platinum in August 2004. “Floods,” featured on The Great Southern Trendkill, contains a guitar solo that Guitar World voted its 15th Greatest Guitar Solo of All-Time.
Pantera released a greatest hits collection in March 2001, titled 1990-2000: A Decade of Domination, which is available exclusively at Walmart and contains 10 remastered tracks. Additionally, former Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul is set to release an album called Stampede from Hellyeah, his collaboration with members of Mudvayne, Damageplan and Nothingface, in July.
The tracks include:
“The Great Southern Trendkill”
“War Nerve”
“Drag the Waters”
“10’s”
“13 Steps to Nowhere”
“Suicide Note Pt. II”
“Living Through Me (Hell’s Wrath)
“Floods”
“The Underground in America”
“(Reprise) Sandblasted Skin”
