'Layers of Fear 2' is out now on Xbox

'Layers of Fear 2' is out now on Xbox

Layers of Fear 2 (@LayersOfFear2), the follow up to the psychological horror title Layers of Fear, is now available for digital download on Xbox One.

Layers of Fear 2

In Layers of Fear 2, players control a Hollywood actor who heeds the call of an enigmatic director to take on the lead role in a film shot aboard an ocean liner. Beware, for all may not truly be what it seems.

The cameras are all focused on you; the center of the scene. Not just in character, you are the character. The part to play is singularly yours. Written just for you.You are met with silence. No barking orders from the director. No call to action that you need to become this version of yourself. The demand to act fills your mind, but the script pages hold no words.

Your past has helped to mold you into what you are, forced upon you the skills required to hone your craft. That same past has scraped deep furrowing scars into you, not on the outside where the world can see, but in a place buried so deep within that it has become shapeless.

What part will you play?

Developed by Bloober Team and published by Gun Media, "Layers of Fear 2" is available on Xbox One for $29.99.

Price: $29.99 USD
File Size: 13.71 GB

F1 2019 launches June 28th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC

F1 2019 launches June 28th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC

Codemasters and Koch Media have announced that F1 2019 will ship a full two months earlier into the F1 season and launch worldwide on Friday 28th June 2019 during the Austrian Grand Prix weekend.

F1 2019

F1 2019 has been in development for nearly two years, making it the most ambitious release in franchise history and launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC (DVD and via Steam).

Working in partnership with F1, for the first time ever, players will be able to get behind the wheel of a 2019 regulation car specifically designed in collaboration with F1’s technical team, headed up by Ross Brawn and Pat Symonds. The car, which will be available in Multiplayer, adheres to the 2019 regulations and comes with a range of livery designs offering players a new level of personalisation. The 2019 F1 Team liveries will also feature on the car in early marketing materials, but will be replaced by the final Team cars ahead of the games release.

Having established itself as one of the highest rated racing franchises of all time, F1 2019 will build on the success of previous iterations and deliver an experience that rivals the quality and production values of its real-life race counterpart and includes several new game features which will be revealed in the coming months. To whet the appetite Codemasters has today released the F1 2019 Teaser Trailer, which showcases some of the game’s brand new look and feel.

“We are absolutely delighted to be able to release F1 2019 earlier in the Formula 1 Season, so that the game can be played and enjoyed at the same time that the real-world championship picture is starting to form,” said Paul Jeal, F1 Franchise Director at Codemasters. “Our close relationship with Formula 1 has played a major part in achieving this key objective for the franchise. That in addition to our near two-year development cycle, has allowed us to develop some exciting new features and other firsts for the franchise that we can’t wait to share with our community in the coming months.”

Project xCloud - More For Gamers And Developers

Project xCloud - More For Gamers And Developers

Kareem Choudhry, Corporate Vice President – Gaming Cloud, Microsoft provides an update regarding Project xCloud.

Project xCloud: More For Gamers And Developers

Last fall, we pulled back the curtain on Project xCloud – our game-streaming technology. Our vision for Xbox is that you can play the games you want, with the people you want, on the devices you want. Project xCloud brings us closer to fully realizing that vision. Our teams around the globe have been hard at work, building out and testing the system. We recently rolled out an alpha version to Microsoft employees through our take home program and are using the feedback to make improvements, ensuring Project xCloud offers customers a great experience.

The driving purpose behind Project xCloud has been to enable playing great games anywhere, anytime. From the beginning, our aim has been seamless compatibility. We want to make it as easy as possible for developers to make their games available to all gamers with support for existing games, those currently in development, and future games.

The power of Project xCloud – the seamless compatibility for developers and the new places to play for gamers – comes from Azure datacenters spanning the globe, with hardware that shares a common set of components with our Xbox consoles. We’ve already deployed our custom Project xCloud blades to datacenters across 13 Azure regions with an initial emphasis on proximity to key game development centers in North America, Asia and Europe. Leading global development teams such as Capcom and Paradox Interactive now have the ability to easily test their games directly from Project xCloud without having to port to a new platform. This is just the beginning of our buildout, with our ultimate goal of supporting gamers in Azure regions around the world.

Today you can play three generations of amazing games on Xbox One. That means that Project xCloud has the technical capability to stream more than 3,500 games, without any changes or modifications required by a developer. In other words, developers will be able to dramatically scale their existing games across devices, with no additional development, no additional code base maintenance and no separate updates. When a developer updates the Xbox One version of their title, those updates will also apply to all versions available on Project xCloud without any additional work.

Xbox Going Big with Halo Infinite at E3 2019

Xbox Going Big with Halo Infinite at E3 2019
Published by: ozzy on Wednesday, May 22, 2019
Tagged: Gaming, Xbox Live, Xbox One,

E3 has become one of the biggest days of the year for gamers, with all of the major publishers showcasing their upcoming creations. This year, the E3 festivities get underway on June 7 with EA Play, which runs until June 9.

Xbox Going Big with Halo Infinite at E3 2019

The all-important press conferences take place on June 9 and June 10, and then E3 itself starts on June 11 and carries on until June 13. Some have been discouraged by the number of companies who won’t be attending E3, but it appears to have paved the way for Xbox and Microsoft to dominate the show even more so than initially expected.

On Sunday, June 9, from 16:00 ET, the Xbox E3 presentation will commence. The highly anticipated showcase is expected to divulge key information concerning the console’s biggest upcoming exclusive games, including Halo Infinite. It’s a tremendous gaming franchise which is sure to set Xbox up as the champion of E3 2019 in the eyes of gamers, but how do the other platforms compare?

Xbox going big in 2019

The Xbox One has been noted as somewhat lacking in exclusive games compared to the likes of the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, but that perception could very well be changed at E3 2019. The biggest name on the sheet so far is, undoubtedly, Halo Infinite. Teased at E3 last year, Infinite will see the return of the Master Chief in a brand new game developed by 343 Industries with the state-of-the-art Slipspace Engine. Fans of the legendary franchise are very excited for this game, and the hope is that a release date and some gameplay footage will be revealed. It is one of the few new games confirmed to be showcased at E3 so far.

But Halo Infinite isn’t the only much-loved title set to be unveiled by Xbox at E3. Along with a Forza Motorsport 8, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Phoenix Point, Battletoads, and possibly a long-awaited Fable game rumored for E3, Gears 5 is almost guaranteed to be shown and create a huge buzz. Following Kait Diaz, the fifth game in the mighty Xbox franchise is set to recapture everything that made the early games great while developers The Coalition have also made an effort to evolve the franchise with some new mechanics.

PlayStation backs out of E3

Xbox’s primary home console competitor has decided to back out of E3 this year, citing that Sony is exploring new ways to engage with their audience throughout the year. What this has resulted in is a couple of Nintendo Direct-style videos called ‘State of Play’ which have detailed a few new games set for release this year. The PlayStation’s only major triple-A release has been Days Gone this year. While Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part II, WiLD, and Death Stranding are in the works, the lack of information regarding release windows, let alone release dates, hints to most of them being 2020 titles.

Mobile games with have a showing

The ever-prevailing fact of the games industry is that mobile gaming is a major player. These hugely available, ‘lite’ games earn close to half of the industry’s total revenue, so it makes sense that more are being unveiled and advertised at major events like E3. There’s very little doubt that some new mobile games will be shown this year with Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls Blades set to be among the new mobile games shown. Hopefully, Bethesda learns from Diablo’s Blizzcon stage last year, don’t hype-up their showing to be about the highly-anticipated Elder Scrolls VI, but then just present the mobile game.

Online casino games continue to grow

The online gaming platform of online casinos continues to grow in popularity all over the world. It has come to the point where developers host extravagant launch parties for their most anticipated games at launch, despite there being so many new games released each week. While all eyes are on the world of gaming as E3 nears, online slot developers have been keen to release their best new casino games like Trigger Happy, Seven Stripes, Fire Dragon, and The Mariachi 5 to make the most of the gaming hype that’s swirling around right now. While Seven Stripes is a progressive jackpot game, the medium-to-high volatility of Trigger Happy and The Mariachi 5 are to capture the audiences as we close in on E3.

Switch continues to lean into its uniqueness

The Nintendo Switch opted into a huge task of competing on the mobile and handheld front and the home console front due to its hybrid form and the selection of games that it creates. But hats off to Nintendo; they’ve embraced the uniqueness of the console to offer the best of both worlds. At E3 2019, Nintendo will show a pre-filmed video, a Nintendo Direct, to show fans what’s to come. The Switch will be Xbox’s biggest competitor to be deemed ‘best in show,’ with the likes of the recently showcased Super Mario Maker 2 as well as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, and Dragon Quest XI S set to titillate the crowd.

It’s an exciting time to be a gamer, particularly if you own an Xbox. While the Nintendo Switch will be coming in hot, the range of highly-anticipated titles on the Xbox One should make Microsoft the bell of the ball at E3 2019.
