North American retailer Electronics Boutique, which expects Microsoft to ship the Xbox 360 as early as November 2, 2005 for an MSRP of $299.99, has comprised a complete, albeit questionable, list of X360 games for the console launch, IGN learned today from several EB outlets.
The list IGN acquired from EB retailers today, features 21 launch titles, including three first-party games from Microsoft Game Studios -- Perfect Dark LE (i.e. Limited Edition), Kameo: Elements of Power, and Project Gotham Racing 3, approximate pricing, and sku numbers for every game.
Advanced Media Network has obtained internal reports from a Pepsi-Cola bottler saying that Xbox 360 will have multi-promotional offers along with Mountain Dew. Sources say that franchise stores such as 7 Eleven, Hollywood Video and Toys R' Us will be offering these promotional deals starting mid-end of this month.
Target stores calls for a three week program that endorses instant wins for the Xbox 360 in Mountain Dew 24-packs, coming in October. 7 Eleven will have a similar promo deal though with only two winnings in a 12-pack.

' Microsoft's presentaion at E3 fell a little flat simply because the company had already unveiled the console in an MTV special that aired the wek before '
That doesn't mean, however, that details aren't still coming out about the system>
Microsoft has just signed a deal with Xbox chipmaker NVIDIA for backward compatibility of old Xbox games with the Xbox 360. This was necessary because the next-gen version of the system utilizes a PowerPC CPU and a non-compatible graphics chip by another company, ATI (the original Xbox has intel chips and an NVIDA GPU). At E3, Microsoft announced that only "best-selling" Xbox games would be playable on the 360, but this new deal opens up the possibility for more titles. However, not all Xbox games will be playable on the new system. Microsoft is not commenting on the situation, but word is that patched versions of the Xbox games will be made available over Xbox Live to allow play on the 360. Patches for some titles will also come pre-loaded on the next-gen system's hard drive.

Piper Jaffray said the launch of Microsoft's Xbox 360 is on track to launch in November in the U.S. and Europe, and will likely ship "a couple of weeks later" in Japan.
Microsoft management wouldn't provide launch quantities, but the research firm estimates that 1 million units will ship in the U.S., 400,000 in Europe, and 200,000 units in Japan by the end of 2005.
Piper Jaffray expects 15 games to be available at the console's launch and 25 to 40 games before the end of the year. The research firm noted that there are more than 160 Xbox 360 games in development worldwide.
Microsoft also would not provide specific pricing information about the Xbox 360, but Piper Jaffray expects Microsoft will make one unit available at $299, and another unit near $399, with the more expensive unit including "additional hardware components (e.g., hard-drive option, extra controller, memory option) that core users will likely buy anyway."
