Microsoft have recently announced that "Commando 3" will be one of this weeks new titles to be released for Xbox LIVE Arcade this Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. GMT (1:00 a.m. PDT).
Developed by Backbone Entertainment, "Commando 3" marks the first appearance of the arcade action series since the release of Mercs in 1990. The game features cooperative play for up to three players on a single console or via Xbox Live. Up to three players can take up arms and wage war against the evil nation of Zalestad.
One of the most popular arcade shooters is back! Wolf of the Battlefield™: Commando 3 revives the classic Commando franchise with an all-new adventure. Fight solo or recruit two other specialized commandos to defeat the evil tyrant General Ratiev. This frantic war-fest combines precise, old-school gameplay with hi-def 3-D graphics.
Play as Codename Wolf, Coyote, or Fox as you take on waves of soldiers, rescue POWs, and blow up armored vehicles through a variety of dangerous battlefields. With loads of weapons and power-ups at your disposal, gear up and blast your way to victory!
User's who purchase "Commando 3" will also be granted access to the Super Street Fighter II HD Remix beta which is soon to be due for release. Commando 3 will become available this Wednesday for 800 MS Points ($10) and will be available to download via the Xbox Live Marketplace.
