  | Oblivion: A Great Game On It''s Way To Classic | |
Overview
The Elders Scrolls IV: Oblivion (TES IV: Oblivion) is one of the best Role Playing Games on the market for the XBOX 360. The immersive gameplay and amazing graphics will only captivate you while you rush to save the world.
You can choose from a number of races, make up your own class and take whatever route you want. The entire game is completely open ended. There is nothing that can hold you back from doing anything you want in this game. With over 400+ hours of gameplay involved the possibilites are almost endless.
Gameplay
The gameplay is unlike any other RPG. Its set up more like a First Person Shooter. You can either be in third person view or first person view. I personally like first person because I can be more into the game that way. Unlike other Role Playing Games the game is not halted when confronting an enemy.
You don't have to go into some crazy battle scene and use special powers only once per round, etc. TES IV: Oblivion allows you to fight the enemy just as you would in a FPS leaving you to do almost anything you wish, whether using a magic fireball, bow, or sword. Again, the possibilities are almost endless.
But what really got me into the game was how the enemies gradually get tougher as you get tougher. You won't ever see certain enemies until you reach certain levels in your advancement, so the game never gets boring or too easy!
Graphics
This is where the game truly shines. The graphics in this game are amazing. Taking walks into The Great Forest, or walking through dungeons really puts you in the characters shoes. The shadowing and movement just captivate me. Sometimes i like to just sit back on the very west shores of anvil and watch the sunset against the water.

Seeing this in HD truly shows what the 360 is made of. And i couldn't ask anything else, on the graphics side, from a game.
Sound
This is where, at times, this game may be lacking. The voice overs get old after about 60hrs of play and the wind that constantly swirls in the forests and mountains does get a little old but by 60hrs you either love the game and can look past it or you just don't care.
Overall
I recogmend this game to anyone looking for an immersive storyline, great graphics, and smooth gameplay. Nothing about this game screams "RENT ME!!!". Everything about this game screams "IF YOU DON'T BUY ME YOUR FRIENDS WILL LAUGH!!"
I hope you enjoyed my review. And if you still don't want to buy this game then remember...if you don't buy the game your friends will laugh.
