"Pinball FX" is a pinball machine simulator developed by Hungarian based Zen Studios. I myself spent many hundreds of dollars at my local tavern to master popping pinball machines for free credits so I think im more then experienced enough to tell you about this title.
Overview
Pinball FX has 3 pinball machine tables to choose. As you might expect the gameplay in Pinball FX is very close to an original pinball machine but it does take alot of getting used to. The graphics themselves are very nicely put together and alot of thought has gone into the different styles of table available.
It's obvious that all Xbox Live Users will soon be able to download extra content for the game in the very near future since as there is already a marketplace link embedded within the game.. I'm hoping they release clones of original arcade pinball titles that would be something very interesting..
 Gameplay
The gameplay is exactly what you would expect from this type of game..
Pinball FX uses the RT (right trigger) and LT (left trigger) to control the flippers.
You can also ever so slightly bump the LEFT ANALOG STICK to bump the machine in a certain direction.. This is very handy for when you ball gets stuck and it sometimes does just like in an original cabinet. Dont go to overbored otherwise you will TILT the machine and we wouldn't want that now would we.
Each table offers a unique story mode where you must perform certain monovure and shoot ramps and holes to compete. The easiest story mode is found on the table named Speed Machine.. All you need to do is shoot the right hand ramp 2 times and then you can start story mode by shooting for it.
Overall I found the gameplay to be very much like the early 80's- 90's era of pinball machine. Most shots can be made from the known areas and can be mastered in a few hrs. One table, extreme has a very difficult shot from the top flipper (3rd) which is still sending me insane but Ill get it you can mark my words.
Graphics
The graphics from Pinball FX are very well done.. The ramps, spinners, and bumpers etc etc are reproduced nicely..If you enjoyed the original pinball machines then Im positive you would find value in the graphic work. Certainly brings back some old memories.. Oh, the lost years..
 With three (3) different tables to choose from it is very limited but still enjoyable.. Im sure all gamers would find atleast one table that tickles their fancy.. Currently the choices of table are: Speed Machine, Extreme, Secret Agent
The interactive display or L.E.D. which was most commonly found in the latest pinball machines has been added into Pinbal FX.. It suits the whole game perfectly and you get hints and tips from its animated display.. Its obvious that the team who designed this simulator really wanted to capture the old school tables and they have done this job very well.
Sound
The music for pinball FX depends on which table you choose to play on.. For example if your playing the Secret Agent Table then you will have a more 007 style of music playing in the background. The effects also change depending on the theme of the table. It does get a bit much with the same tunes repeating themselves constantly but as you all know its very simple to play your own music instead..
Overall
Pinball FX is a nice title especially for only 800 ms points.. I'd recommend this title to anyone who has previously enjoyed playing pinball machines at the arcades as the simlator itself is very well done.. Ive read many other reviews about this title and I dont know what they expect.. I found Pinball FX to be enjoyable and i still find myself starting it up for a quick lash.
With future downloadable content this could be a interesting game if they allow different artists and graphic teams to design more content..
