My Brief Statement
Well for Halo and Halo 2 being a giant success that raised a bar for many other gaming companies out there to step up there game and for sure that’s what Halo 3 has done. Other companies tried to some what duplicate the Halo formula which in some cases actually were successful. But there is nothing like the original that’s for sure and Halo 3 brings it all to the table which after purchasing the game it brings a great satisfaction towards money well spent. Halo 3 itself manages to feel just like the other Halo games with the added of new material and an interesting mix of established protocol and intriguing new stuff. The game play itself does not stray to far from Halo 2, in other words it plays extremely well. Same types of light tactical considerations that made this series stand far apart from the other faster paced shooting games. Also four player co-op is a big plus for this game.
Game-Play
The way Halo’s weaponry and meele attack always has given a unique feel in the genre, and now other games are using very similar styles today for both campaign mode and multiplayer. There are many new weapons and items to consider in this new game, such as a host of Brute weapons for example the spiker, which is a awesome automatic pistol that fires quite quick and destroys opponents, could you imagine having two of them with you, which of course you can. Another great weapon is the mauler, which is a one-handed shotgun that is really effective at close range. Also you will find many weapons in this game that your movement will slow when you carry them. The camera views for these weapons alone are awesome, so when you use these weapons the camera pulls out a 3rd person perspective so you can see like missile pod, plasma cannon and flamethrower as it fires sweetness. Also another cool weapon would be the gravity hammer that was shown in Halo 2 but was not useable by the player himself. This weapon itself will wipe out most regular enemies in one swipe, and would be especially fun in a multiplayer setting.
The campaign its self is much the same way as past Halo games, with the multiple chapters and effective streaming that will make it were you only see load times between chapters which is great because who wants to sit there and wait hours ha. You get all the classic Halo vehicles of course would not be Halo if you didn’t have those.

This game pretty much starts were Halo 2 left off were The Covenant is on its way to Earth, continuing its religious zealotry and attempting to activate the floating space weapons known as the Halos, which would destroy civilization if activated. Master Chief and other Earth forces of the UNSC are on hot pursuit to stop them, will all new allies such as the Arbiter. I don’t want to get into much detail because this is what you would want to see firsthand. Like I said if it gets hard go to the battle with three other friends and get down to business. The game can take around 10-15 hours for a normal gamer that has been playing Halo since it first came out and probably a little longer for those that have just started. Also noted that you can do the whole campaign with all your xbox live friends on your side up to four total can battle out The Covenant and save Earth.
Throughout the game there are hidden skulls that you can collect in which in return you get unlockable modifiers that open up . These skulls are stashed all throughout the game and some of them increase the amount of damage that you will need to take down bigger enemy and also remove the heads-up display and making your weapons invisible and so on. Also don’t stress to hard on getting achievements unlike in co-op mode which makes it less stressful on legendary difficulty.
Just like in Halo 2, you can still customize game types, but there is a lot more this time around. You can change starting weapons, whether the motionn sensor is active, game speed, force of gravity, even whether the players all have active camouflage or not and a lot more. Then you head to the multiplayer which is now stronger then ever after the addition of the new weapons and tweaks to the old ones. The Energy Swords are more interesting this time around, for example is if you and your buddy go at it and attack at the same time the swords would clash and you both would just bounce off one another, which now makes all the sword matches you do with your buds or online play totally wild and lets not forget the Gravity Hammer is also another fun weapon to use in multiplayer matches because if an enemy is foolish enough to get close to you , you can just pound him and even smack incoming rockets too.
Other Great Features
Bungie also gave us some sweet features like you have the option of file-sharing to send screenshots and saved films. What saved films? Yes, the game automatically stores the last 25 or so sessions, and you can choose to either save them permanently if you would like and also be able to edit them down to key kills or what ever you mind desires to do with them from strangest Forge stuff or multi kills and so on and so forth. Also another great feature you can detach the camera from your player and go any ware with it on the map or even change it to any other player’s view.
Sound
The sound in Halo 3 is a good mix of old and new, much like the rest of the game. You'll hear the familiar Halo theme music and variants thereof. There is also great deal of new music too so don’t think there is just all old music from the last one. You'll also hear a ton of combat dialogue, both from the marines that fight by your side as well as the enemies you're fighting, who don't seem to appreciate it when you kill one of their comrades.
Final Statement
All in all this game is a awesome game to own if you’re a big Halo fan, I always though recommend renting any game before buying it, because if you don’t like any game for some reason you only wasted around $5 or so on it and instead of $59.95 as they are most now a days. But if your in it for action and Aliens and sweet guns and ships and awesome vehicles to ride and multiplayer action this is the game you want.
