Burger King has partnered with both Microsoft and Blitz Games in order to make three games for both the Xbox and the Xbox 360. When you go to a participating store between Novemeber 19th, and December 24th you will be able to pick up your choice of games. These games vary in genre, you will have a choice between racing, action, and an adventure/stealth style game.
Blitz Games is the company who developed the Xbox title Fusion Frenzy, one of the few party style games released, so it comes to no real surpise that these games are fun, but shallow.
Pocketbike Racer, to me was probably the most fun of the three Burger King games, the style of gameplay mimics kart racing games such as the ever popular Mario Kart, or Diddy Kong Racing. The gameplay is basic at best, race around a track, come in first place, there are additions that make this game fun, but the AI is lacking during single player modes, which is why the Xbox Live play is much better. In two of the four modes it was not any problem to come in first place on every track on every difficulty rating. Where the other two relied on actual racing instead of combat and slalom competition, these were a bit more difficult but still not hard.
This is one of the many cloned kart racing titles, and it of course doesn't do anything to add to the genre, but for $4 you just expect a bit of gameplay then you are through with the title. If the game would have had better weapons that suited the tie-in with Burger King such as throwing burgers instead of firing rockets, it would have made for a slightly more interesting time. The weapons coupled with the lacking death match mode that puts you on the same tracks as racing makes it seem very boring.
Overall you will have fun while playing multiplayer, and if you want to unlock the achievements, it isn't too difficult to play through the single player tournaments. You will get tired of the game, and you will end with just a few sessions in your play log.
