I've played Assassin's Creed at my friend's house (since I'm not allowed to at home) and I must say, I was impressed.
The entire world seemed realistic, there were high up points that you could get to that make it seem worth the three minute climb, and the five seconds of falling is the best part. There were people going on there every day activities.
But let's move on from the seemingly suicide jumping and to the combat. The fighting felt realistic, amazing at times when you're running across buildings from say, six soldiers and a Knight. Assassinating was even better, the loud noise they play as you stab someone in the back made it worth loosing some life for killing a civilian. The only bad part was when you accidentally killed a civilian instead of a soldier getting a little too close.
The storyline I was fine with, it seemed interesting and kept the game going. Personally, I freed every civilian and did everything in each city before actually killing my target, made me feel accomplished when the map was empty of events I could activate.
The roof jumping was also very fun, jumping from building to building is really the star, you can approach situations in many ways and do nearly anything you wanted.
The only thing I felt missing from this game was multi-player. Actually, I always miss multi-player in games, but I guess it'd be rather difficult to employ multi-player into this game, you being an assassin.
Replaying the game I haven't done, but imagining it I'd think it'd be alright so I'll give it a straight 10 right now.
